About Us

About a boy...

Robert Christopher Roth was born in Oregon City, Oregon to Robert & Audrey Roth in 1989.  He is followed by younger brother Joshua and sisters Janissa and Brianna.  As a young boy Chris enjoyed playing in the yard, fishing, chasing moles with Josh, playing with fire, climbing trees, and throwing knives into things. In spite of his small stature he was able to play three sports year round and discovered that athletics was his passion.  In high school he supplemented his athletic pursuits with breaking and entering, getting good grades, and being somewhat of a hermit in general.  In his spare time he also enjoyed an occasional recreational weightlifting session. He was accepted to Oregon State University where he coached OSU athletes, trained for strongman, olympic lifting, and even took a swung at MMA fighting.  (pun intended). He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Sports Exercise Science and kidnapped his wife, of whom he tricked into marrying him on a whim, to Illinois where he graduated with a Master's degree in Kinesiology at Southern Illinois University.  He is currently the Assistant Strength and Conditioning coach for SIU.

About a girl...
Rachel I'Leene Polack (now Roth) was born in Oregon City, Oregon to Ken & Sonja Polack in 1988.  She is followed by younger brothers Spencer and Tyson and sister Tonja.  For the first half of her life she lived out in the countyland between Molalla and Canby.  While living there she enjoyed making forts, playing in the mud, playing catch with her dad, riding the motorcyle, climbing trees, and any other Tomboyish activities she could think of.  At the ripe old age of middle school Rachel and the Polack family moved closer to the city of Canby to a little enchanted forest paradise.  While living there Rachel discovered many new and exciting things including, but not limited to: high heels, the color pink, mascara, hair spray, and thus her new past time was created...giving mom and dad grey hair.  While in high school she became involved in Associated Student Body, many different planning committees, track & field, rugby, honors classes, and swimming..  At the end of her senior year she was accepted to Oregon State University in the darling little town of Corvallis, Oregon. She swam for the varsity women's swim team for four years and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Speech Communication. After waiting six long years for Chris, she finally decided to ask him out and two years later they got married in an impromptu wedding. (Planned and executed in less than 24 hours...win). He kidnapped her shortly thereafter to the middle of nowhere, Illinois.  She decided he couldn't have all the fun getting a master's degree so she went back to school as well.  In a moment of passion to save the world, she decided to write a thesis as a graduation option....of which she is still working on a year and a half later...bummer.

Together...
We love Jesus first and foremost. We love spending time together, with family, and with friends. We love the outdoors and going on adventures.  We don't like to sit still and we like to overcome challenges. We love simplicity. We also love bacon.
